This weekend TransPennine Express is offering complimentary travel to members of the armed forces, as this upcoming Armistice day, Sunday 11 November, will mark 100 years since the end of the First World War.

Free travel on TPE services will be provided on both Saturday 10 November and Sunday 11 November 2018 to any serving members of the armed forces, veterans, cadets as well as volunteers selling poppies. This will make it as easy as possible for them to attend any Remembrance Day events or collect funds on behalf of the Royal British Legion.

For TPE customers to be eligible for the discount, any armed forces personnel should either travel in uniform or bring along a military identification card. Any veterans should carry identification in the form of the MOD issued Veteran’s Badge.
