The official launch of Staveley artwork took place on 23 September. It was an event well attended by local representatives and councillors, Friends of Lakes Line; the Vice-Chair of Lakes Line CRP; Northern Station Manager and Regional Stakeholder Manager; Community Rail Cumbria’s Manager and excellent local representation.

Well done to Ian Conway of Friends of the Lakes Line who co-ordinated and lead this project and to the artist Wendy Randall.

The Panels depicted the arts and craft heritage of Staveley, referencing the art glass windows of Staveley church;the bobbin mills of Staveley from previous centuries, the nature and the geography connecting to the industrial heritage of Staveley and current businesses, and the heritage of tourism that surround Staveley.
