Windermere Ferry sets sail again

Windermere Ferry is back in business following repairs to the Ferry including a new engine.  The Ferry was re-launched on Saturday 27 October, resuming it’s normal departure times. The ferry takes people, vehicles, horses and cycles across the lake, reducing traffic on the surrounding narrow roads and easing congestion and pollution. Virgin to install Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) in Oxenholme car park on 10 October 2018
