Between Friday 28 February and Monday 2 March,
and overnight on Saturday 7 until Sunday 8 March,
engineers will work to replace the passenger
subway between Platforms 1 and 2.

 The £2.4m Great North Rail Project investment will see the old,
uninviting subway replaced
with a cleaner, brighter route for
passengers to move around the station.

 The upgrade means the railway will need
to be closed over both weekends
with a bus replacement service in operation
to keep passengers moving while the work is carried out.
