Northern Trains Ltd will shortly be commencing a deep clean of Barrow-in-Furness station. The work will begin on 2nd June for 5 days with the work being carried out in the day and at night.
The specification of work is as follows:

Main Concourse –
All walls, ceilings, windows and floors including the high level. This includes a deep scrub of the floors.
All machines and gateline equipment.
Clean all signage
Clean all seating

Platforms –
All platform areas including all stanchions and supporting columns.
Waiting room
Platform Canopy
Clean all signage
All toilets to receive deep clean
Clean all stairways and void areas
Clean all lifts

Subway –
Clean all areas of the Subway and stairways

Car Park –
De vegetation of the complete car park area to ground level.
Remove all rubbish and debris
Clean car park and road linings to make visible
Clean all signage

This clean will make a major difference to the station and surrounding area.
