Network Rail will be delivering planned engineering work 2–3 May (original May Day bank holiday) and 8–10May (VE Day bank holiday weekend).

This much needed work includes further upgrades to Euxton Junction on the West Coast main line
near Chorley – the first phase was completed over Easter weekend.

Key workers who need to travel on those dates are being urged to plan ahead here.
