The residents at Turning Point (Stanfield House) have been looking at ways of showing what recovery means to them and how this could inspire others. A series of boards were designed by the group and are now displayed on the southbound platform of their adopted station at Green Road.

All of the photographs were taken by an ex-resident whilst he worked through his recovery journey, this initiative helped him re-connect with his love of photography and encouraged many hours of reflective walking. The quotes were provided by a number of residents who have been inspired by the strength they gained from reading them.

The residents hope that these boards will bring a smile to people as they pass the station, and for some provide inspiration to fight the battles that may lie ahead.

Community Rail Cumbria and Turning Point will be celebrating this inspirational project with an official launch as and when the COVID-19 restrictions allow.
