Since the UK Government announcement about restricting travel there are still many people not following the advice and continuing to use train services for a day out to enjoy the weather or to travel somewhere for a walk while also not observing guidance on 2m social distancing.

This activity is clearly against the UK and Scottish Governments advice to stay at home and only travel if a journey is absolutely necessary eg for key workers to get to/from work.

British Transport Police are deployed across the railway network and will be asking people at stations and on trains if their journey is necessary and if they really do need to travel.

Please respect the advice and only travel if absoultely essential.
