July planting day at Kendal station.

On a great gardening day at Kendal Station, two areas of sad, overgrown pine bushes were cleared in anticipation of a new regime of light, airy and beautiful planting.  The area was in need of clearing as well as cheering up.   The Lakes Line User Group (LLRUG) and station adopters, led by Ian Conway, used the expertise of a local nursery to supply new perennial flowers and small bushes and now nearly a hundred new plants have found a new home at Kendal station!  The new planting will provide summer flowers and all year round greenery. Thanks to all including Malcolm Conway from LLRUG who cleaned the banners around the station and a Community Rail volunteer for weeding services.
