The pupils of Flimby Primary School have been busy producing Christmas designs for a new festive banner that will appear at their local railway station until 4th January 2022. This was a competition to come up with designs that feature both trains and Christmas, promoting rail travel over the festive period but also reminding people that they are still the station adopters for Flimby railway station. A project led by Community Rail Cumbria with funding support from Northern.
The launch of the new Christmas banner took place at the end of November with Tanya Peers (School Head), Warren Birch (Community Rail Partnership Officer) and a number of pupils with winning entries all present at the event.
