This week witnessed the re-opening of the newly refurbished footbridge at Wigton station. It has been a long road to bring this project to fruition and has relied on the outstanding support and commitment from both Network Rail and Northern who have worked in collaboration to deliver this project.

The bridge further enhances what is already a wonderful station, and with the recent addition of the new shelters delivered as part of the Northern station investment fund, Wigton station is certainly in fine shape!

All of these changes complement the wonderful work being carried out by the station adoption group who all give up their own time to ensure the station is maintained to an exceptional standard.
