The civil works to refurbish Windermere station concourse and car parking area are moving apace. With only limited rail services and passenger footfall during lockdown, it’s of course an ideal time for the works to go ahead.

Several phases, of the works, have been completed this week including an aco channel with concrete apron, replacement kerbs and tactile paving. New speed cushions have also been installed.

Tarmac resurfacing and line marking works are planned to take place towards the end of next week.
